Julio C. Cassels

Business Development

Julio C. Cassels is a results-driven business-to-business and business-to-consumer marketing and business strategy professional with comprehensive analytical skills in finance, statistics, business process re-engineering and software platforms.  He has worked for global professional advisory companies in NYC, DC and now Miami.  Julio is an avid participant in the So. Florida start-up ecosystem and tech community, having led business development initiatives for early stage companies and organizations that promote the development of Miami as a tech and innovation hub.  Julio has built a network among business development, tech and start-up leadership circles in Miami, including leading tech transfer initiatives for the US Dept of Commerce.   

Julio earned his MBA in finance and marketing from the Darden School at the University of Virginia (Top 5 ranked Business School) and his Bachelor of Science in urban planning and economic development from the University of Arizona.  He is the proud father of Straight A bilingual twins that are fanatical about tech devices, VR/AR, and innovative education tech & gaming  platforms.

Julio’s business experience spans a range of industries and corporate sizes from large multinationals to start-ups: Accenture (Strategy Practice), Capgemini, White & Case LLP (an elite Wall St. law firm), Ford Motor Co., Lucent Technologies, Standard & Poor’s and NYC based App developers looking to establish a presence in Florida and looking for talent for tech start-ups based in Miami’s Wynwood and Brickell districts.  He is experienced in social media analytics, CRM and data mining to identify marketing/business development opportunities, crafting growth hacking strategies, producing target messages and managing integrated marketing initiatives (both digital and traditional) to drive client acquisition, improve profitability, increase brand equity and achieve growth targets.  He leverages global and cultural perspectives with an emphasis on U.S. Hispanic and Latin American markets and is fluent in Spanish.
